Peel Plies are woven fabrics that are typically used as the final material in the composite laminate application process. After curing, they are intended to be peeled off the surface, leaving behind a clean, textured surface.
In most cases, no more mechanical abrasion is necessary to prepare this surface for subsequent bonding, filling, or painting. In order to make their presence on the laminate more obvious, red warp tracer threads are also woven into the fabric.
