It is safe to use and contributes to the required precision. The hole in the orange tube is set to the desired level of liquid volume according to the scale on the measuring glass. The dispenser is then gently pressed, and the liquid automatically fills the measuring glass to the desired level. If too much liquid is pressed into the measuring glass, the correct level is automatically adjusted once the pressure is stopped. The lid on the measuring glass and the plug in the tube prevent splashing. The scale from 0-75 ml is indelible.
