Seal, tie and protect with Carboline Chem-Bar 3500 Primer, a highly effective steel primer for industrial and marine work, supplied here in Metallic Grey 10L.
Chem-Bar 3500 Primer can be applied directly over steel or over zinc primers such as Altra-Zinc 605, Carbozinc 15-625, Zinkex 100 or Carbozinc 11. For atmospheric exposure it is normally topcoated with Chem-Bar 900 Finish. In commercial marine work it serves as a barrier and seal coat over aged, incompatible or unknown antifoulings, and as a tie coat over suitably prepared aged epoxy coatings before applying the specified Sea-Barrier antifouling. For substrates other than steel, check the recommendation with Altex Coatings.
