    • Type: 2-part linear Aliphatic Polyester Polyurethane
    • Available Sizes: Offered in 1-gallon and 1-quart containers
    • Theoretical Coverage (Spray Application): 530 square feet at a dry film thickness of 1 mil. 210 square feet at the recommended dry film thickness.
    • Recommended Wet Film Thickness: 6-9 mils (150-225 microns) for a total of 2-3 coats.
    • Recommended Dry Film Thickness: 2-3 mils (50-75 microns) for a total of 2-3 coats.
    • Coverage calculations are based on a mixture of the base and converter, reduced by 25%, and assume a theoretical transfer efficiency of 100%. Actual coverage rates may vary depending on equipment.

Anticipated Cure Time at 77°F/50% R.H:

    • 24 hours to reach the tape-free stage
    • 3 days to achieve light serviceability
    • 14 days for full cure.

    Brush/Roller Application:

    • Coverage: 700-725 square feet at a dry film thickness of 1 mil. 285 square feet at the recommended dry film thickness.

    VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds):

    • Brush Converter H3002: 276 g/liter or 2.3 lbs/gallon

    Application Methods:

    • Suitable for conventional air atomized spray, HVLP spray, brush, or roller application.

    Mixing and Reduction:

    • Mix two parts of Awlgrip Topcoat Base Component with one part AWL-CAT H3002 Brushing Converter by volume until achieving a smooth, homogeneous mixture. Reduce the mixture by 25% to 33% with T0031, resulting in an overall mix ratio of 2:1/4-1 volume. For example, you can mix 8 oz of base with 4 oz of H3002 and 3-4 oz of T0031.
